Learn to Spin Using a Turkish Drop Spindle with Wanda Jenkins
Read Wanda Jenkins' bio here!
Have you been eying those beautifully dyed fibers and itching to learn how to spin them? Tried learning to spin and couldn't get it? Want to learn but need a relaxed, hands-on atmosphere where the concepts are taught clearly and slowly? This is the class for you!
Class will focus on taking the student step by step from handling the fiber to successfully spinning it. It is Wanda's experience that a Turkish spindle is the easiest spindle to use for spinning and so will be the primary spindle type used although she will touch on top-whorl spindles. All students will be supplied a Turkish spindle to use during class with an option to buy. The class is hands-on and taken slowly with each step carefully demonstrated and taught.
